Retirement Case Processing

Economic Systems Inc. provides trained, knowledgeable personnel to support retirement case processing for federal agencies. Services include preparation of individual employee retirement annuity estimates and retirement application packages. Federal service is verified to calculate civilian and military deposit, civilian redeposit information, Alternative Annuity Elections, and CSRS Voluntary Contributions. Benefit estimates include retirements under optional, disability, voluntary early out, discontinued service, deferred, and survivor provisions.

FERCCA Case Processing - Federal Employee Retirement Coverage Correction Act (FERCCA) case analyses are challenging, requiring detailed knowledge of FERCCA regulations, Social Security, and Thrift Savings Plan. EconSys provides FERCCA experts to develop FERCCA decision packages, counsel FERCCA-affected employees, and guide them through the election process. Our FRB Web© product includes the FERCCA Calculation Module and provides financial projections of different FERCCA options that an employee may face. For additional information, contact us at email FERCCA@econsys.com.

FERCCA Training - EconSys offers a one-day training session for HR specialists focusing on the FERCCA statute and regulations as well as operation of the FERCCA calculator. The two-day session is a more extensive training program for HR staff that requires basic strengthening of their skills in federal retirement programs before adding the FERCCA information needed to process FERCCA decision packages.

Workforce Planning

EconSys offers a Workforce Reporting tool that provides web-based access to users who can produce tables, charts and reports on demand at any time. These include basic reports on onboard inventory, accessions, attrition, and employees eligible for retirement by selected occupational series, time period, pay grade category, demographics, and organizational identifiers. The application uses the EconSys Federal Retirement Benefit calculator to produce reports on number of employees eligible for retirement and projections. Other data such as on authorization numbers for job positions and competency skill assessment data can be incorporated into the reporting tool as well to perform demand and supply analysis.

Employee Surveys

EconSys has experience with many different types of employee surveys—employee satisfaction and morale, employment engagement, cultural assessment, and organizational effectiveness. For example, EconSys has developed and administered employee satisfaction surveys for the Florida Department of Health’s 17,000 employees. Survey data analysis reflects the different dimensions of satisfaction (Clarity, Rewards and Recognition, Flexibility, Responsibility, Standards, and Teamwork). EconSys has developed its own in-house application for administering Web-based surveys.
