Performance Measurement
If your organization has a network of branches, you would
want to know which branches are performing more efficiently
than others. We can assist you in evaluating the performance
of your operating branches with our Crosspoint Evaluator
using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique.
This analytical tool is superior to the traditional methods
for several reasons:
1. It can handle multiple input and multiple
output models.
2. Branches are directly compared against
a peer or combination of peers.
3. It takes account of all the measurable
factors in branch performance—inputs and outputs
as well as differences in technology, capacity, competition,
and demographics—and then compares each branch with
a composite peer group of other branches with similar
attributes.
4. It groups the branches into four quadrants:
• Star performers
– Quadrant I (High efficiency/high output)
• Efficient but
low output – Quadrant II (Close or consolidate branches)
• Inefficient
and low output – Quadrant III
(Needs
management intervention)
• Inefficient
but high output – Quadrant IV (May be stars by corporate
management
but they are under-performing)
EconSys has provided its Crosspoint Evaluator service
to several clients who have nationwide networks of branches
and stores. Among others, these include Charles Schwab & Company, Citibank, CVS, Sears,
and JC Penney.
